Magical Moments Magical People

Friends in MSS,

A short while from now, I leave for my favourite place in the world-Assam. A place where I was born and a place where I grew up learning lessons of love, friendship and managing relationships. As I played in the pristine beauty of Assam's rainfed fields, I discovered some of most magical moments of my life during my childhood

And today as a mature adult, am not writing to you to describe the mesmerising beauty of the land. I thought I would share some of my magical moments here in MSS just before my departure. The year 2008 has been a period of great magical moment full of miracles in my life. 2008 marked a period when my life took me through a roller coaster ride of good, bad and ugly. In all my moments most of you guys where around. This page is just an ode to all the good men and women whom I crossed paths in my last one year in MSS. (oops this is not a parting letter though. am coming back han!)

In MSS, I met people who influenced my life in more than one ways.

Just thought will write to all of you how each one of you helped me shape my thoughts.

Let me begin with Renuka Joshi

Renuka Joshi: She is one of those rare persons who at such young age of 24/25 have redefined the word called "responsibility". The way she sisters her siblings and the way she mothers her mother tells us that deep down she is a person who can take care of her world. Her ways of managing the office of Dr Somaiya including assisting us in our travels, booking etc with equal finese calls for a big applause from all of us. She is a person, who I think, has a tremondous capability to move up in life. If she is able to "re-adjust" some of the thought processes she would be the best around. Renuka, you are good, just think BIG and allow more friends to come into your life. Believe me LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.

Abhishek Kumar:Amazingly cool, this chap has shown me what calmness is all about. He walks in his new avatar as an HR professional with equal or better dexterity as compared to a social work professional. Has the unique capabilty of taking everything given to him. His wit and composed gait makes him a pure fun element to be with. Abhishek, the way you have been facing the challenges of being a new father, a new professional calls for kudos galore. You can be termed as our own Mr Dependable. You have given me lessons on serenty amidst turmoil.

Rupa Tete: Amazing friend and colleague. You have been one of the best things that could have happended to all of us here at Mawana. Your silent presence is enough to soothe the troubled mind quite a lot. You seem to understand a lot more than you actually say. Nobody has helped me look at things differently the way you have done in the immediate past. Whether in meetings or in forums your constant presence gives real strenght. Thanks for being there always. and cant forget the way you supported me during Vedika's surgery. Gazab. By the way the hair cut looks good too..

Pan/Jha: Have known both of you only for a short stint. But then both of you bring beautiful experiences about life in general. Pandey, I admire your Hindi and the reading of books such as "तद्वाव"। Whatever it means, I am sure you will benefit from the readings of these books. You get things done well. Jhala, I think you have latent talents which needs to be explored. You guys can do a lot

Dr Abha Singhal: You make me feel important. Have always adored the way you meticulously carry all your work. You have become an integral part of our team and all of us look forward to meeting you and learning from you. What I have always learnt from you is speaking out from the heart. Kudos to you.

Dr Priya Somaiya: Have not commanded enough vocubalry to describe you. In many ways you seem an enigma to me. Sometimes a tough boss, sometimes an articulate professional, sometimes a caring mother ( and an would be ma-in-law too) , sometimes an immaculate singer sometimes a ruthless negotiator and sometimes all these combined in one. Your energy and passion towards work has always awed me and I have learnt from you what initiative is all about. The birth of MCS is a testimony of your girth and determination.

Hats off to you Madam.

Thank you all folks. We will continue to do this good work. Durga Puja is round the corner, something which is so very dear to me and my family. At this point let me pray for the well being of your family and friends. May this festive season bring joy and happiness to all of you.

With the choicest puja wishes...

Raju Sharma
